Hi, I’m Abigail Skegin-Sipes, founder of Sunshine Speech LA and a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP). I provide personalized in-home speech therapy for children throughout the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas.
I specialize in working with toddlers and young children with a variety of communication needs, including speech delays, expressive and receptive language delays, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency, and social communication challenges.
With over 7 years of experience, I have worked across school-based, clinical, and medical settings. My background also includes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which continues to inform my therapy approach when beneficial.
I have experience supporting both children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and enjoy working with bilingual families. I also speak Russian and value providing culturally responsive, family-centered care.
My therapy style is warm, play-based, and individualized to each child’s needs. I partner closely with parents to provide practical strategies that support communication growth beyond our sessions.
My goal is to help children build confidence, connect with others, and communicate successfully in everyday life.
